   I would give this product 6 stars if I could. If you have a Canon EOS R series camera, this is an essential item. I previously had an EOS 1d series camera and had an extended eyecup piece to help in the bright sunlight. Unfortunately, it didn’t help viewing the photos on the screen. When I got my EOS R6, my very first concern was the viewfinder, and the possible issues bright sunlight could cause. As everybody who uses a phone for photos knows, the screen must be at maximum brightness in direct sun. This item is essential for not only taking the photos using the electronic viewfinder in bright sun, but also for viewing the photos as the viewfinder can be used for playback. This eyecup is high quality and looks OEM. Came with the screwdriver needed to remove the OEM eyecup, and extra screws as well. Super happy with this, and I believe is an essential piece of gear for any mirrorless camera when used in bright conditions. If Canon made this, it would be $50. This is an amazing piece of quality gear at an amazing price.

   works really great for people with glasses. Originally I thought it is not needed, but it really helped me. The disadvantage is that if you are outdoors and there is some chance of the thing to get dirty or moist, you smudge up your glasses. So take an additional microfiber cloth with you to clean them it that happens.Someone said they break easily. I have used them several times a week for some months now and have no issues so far. You need to be careful how to place the camera in the bag as naturally, this sticks out a bit more than the original one. Unfortunately, I find the price expensive, but in the end, I found it worthwhile

   The item was as advertised. I had bought to see if it would help with bright sun in eyes when using Camera.It helped somewhat but did not eliminate the sun effects.

   I am giving this product 5 stars because it is accurately described, appears to be at least as well made as the Canon original, and is fairly priced.I can confirm, however, from direct experience, that it does not fit the R5 Mark II, which has a slightly larger viewfinder window than the R5 Mark I.This is not a slap at JJC. Their ad copy is accurate, though it would be nice if it stated explicitly that it only fits the the first gen R5. I just made an erroneous assumption that if it fits both generations of the R6 it should also fit both generations of the R5. Not so.Hopefully JJC will be able to fabricate an R5 Mark II compatible version soon.

   This extended eye cup is soft and very comfy. Used it for hours straight taking almost 2000 photos during a sporting event. Helped block out the lights into my eye so I didn’t have to have my face so close to the camera to see through the view finder.
