This light works well, but it took me a long time to figure out the controls. Charging is pretty straightforward using a USB C charger. The four blue LEDs on the back show the charging progress,To change the color temp and brightness, you need to power on the light. When you press the center of the control area, the right brightness LED will light up. When in that mode, the dial adjusts the brightness. Pressing the center again switches to the left LED where the dial adjusts the color temp. The instructions say short pressing the power button switches the mode, but it goes into some weird flashing modes. Just long press the power button to turn it on and off. Use the center button and the dial to adjust the color temp and brightness. The light itself has a 1/4″ treaded hole on the bottom to mount to a tripod or the included clamp. There are cold shoe slots on both sides and the top of the light. The light came with a clamp, a cold shoe to 1/4″ adapter, and a short USB A to USB C cable. The light has magnets on the back to mount it onto a metal surface. The magnets seem strong enough, but because the back of the light it smooth, it slides down a metal surface sometimes.

I have a high-end video/fill light but it is heavy and bulky, especially with all of the filters included. I needed something lightweight which was easy to grab, carry, and use. This little light delivers and satisfied most of my use cases. It can be clipped onto a phone, mounted on a tripod–using the 1/4 – 20 socket, a camera/mount shoe, or stuck to a ferromagnetic surface, like the side of a vehicle, gym equipment, etc. It is designed so that if you have more than one, they can be attached to each other. The temperature and brightness adjustment is simple and quick. The USB-C charging port is also a plus. The last two photos demonstrate the range of brightness from lowest to highest settings.Would I recommend this item to others? In some cases similar items from different companies are reviewed for comparison. The feedback (review) is honest, matter-of-fact, fair, sometimes with a hint of whimsy, and always with a critical eye.

This is a review of the LINBER LED Video Light. It is a pocket sized alternative to a similar sized camera flash. While I have a larger LED light, it lacks most of the features of this one. This can be adjusted for brightness up to 1500 lux at about 1 foot. Color hue from warm 3000k to “white light daylight” 9000k. All can be done with one hand using the round dial on the back and center button. No more guessing how brightness of flash will affect your shot. Or making your subjects appear trapped in headlights. What is different is you can compose your shot with lighting you see and can adjust rather than guess what a flash will do. Can adjust angle if needed. Use a form of bounce mode angle if using it with the pivoting cellphone adapter or illuminate a macro shot with cellphone. Using that bounce light approach is nice for helping to reduce “red eye” effect. However, the cold shoe camera mount is only in a fixed direction.Amazing versatility in a compact form. The manufacturer also makes a black version that has colored RGB hues. Personal choice depending on how creative you want to get.

I love this little camera light! Ordered this to use with my mirrorless camera when I’m filming in lower light scenarios. The light is very powerful and the range is good (low to high). The light has a built in diffuser so that the light isn’t too harsh or aggressive. It’s also thanks to that diffuser that when you’re using the light it’s not blinding others or yourself. The cold to warm adjustment is awesome, not many budget-friendly lights have that feature. My two favorite features of this camera light are that it is rechargeable (don’t have to keep buying AA batteries) and the 3 cold shoe mounts on the top and the sides (I can still mount my directional or wireless mics on my camera even though the light is utilizing my camera’s hot shoe). The light controls take a little getting used to but the included instructions do a good job of explaining how they function. Overall I’m very satisfied with this little camera light, I’m glad I have it to use with my camera when I’m trying to film in low light situations. Highly recommended!
