This stereo is a solid upgrade for Honda Pilot 2006-2008 owners looking to modernize their vehicle with wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, and a high-resolution display. One of its biggest advantages is the 10.1-inch IPS touchscreen, which offers crisp visuals, wide viewing angles, and smooth touch response. Running on Android 13, it provides access to Google Maps, YouTube, and various Play Store apps, making it highly versatile. However, the floating screen design may obstruct dashboard controls, and its 2GB RAM can sometimes cause minor slowdowns when multitasking. Additionally, while wifi 6 ensures strong internet connectivity, the lack of a built-in SIM card slot means users must rely on a mobile hotspot for real-time navigation. The stereo excels in connectivity and multimedia features, with wireless and wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth 5.4 for fast pairing, and a built-in GPS module for navigation. It also includes a backup camera with dynamic guidelines, improving safety while reversing. Audio performance is enhanced with DSP (Digital Signal Processor), providing customizable equalizer settings for clearer and richer sound output. However, FM radio reception isn’t as strong as OEM systems, and AM radio support is absent, which could be a drawback for certain users. Additionally, while wireless CarPlay/Android Auto works well, some users experience occasional lag or disconnection issues, making the wired option more reliable for uninterrupted use.For those seeking expandability, this unit supports dual USB ports, external amplifiers, and steering wheel controls (SWC), allowing for a more integrated driving experience. The installation process can be complex, particularly when setting up the backup camera and SWC functionality, which may require professional assistance. Despite these minor drawbacks, the stereo offers excellent value for its price, with a modern interface, touchscreen convenience, and strong smartphone integration. It’s best suited for users who prioritize connectivity and entertainment, but those expecting flawless FM reception or high-speed performance for multitasking might want to explore models with higher RAM and enhanced radio tuners. Overall, it’s a great buy for Honda Pilot owners looking for a budget-friendly yet feature-packed infotainment upgrade.

I’ve been driving my 2007 Honda Pilot for years now, and while it’s reliable, the stock stereo setup felt… ancient. So I took a chance on this Android 13 touchscreen stereo, and I’m honestly blown away by how much it transformed my car.The 10.1” IPS touchscreen is super crisp and responsive—feels more like a tablet than a typical car stereo. Installation wasn’t too difficult (I had a buddy help), and it fit into the dash perfectly. Once it powered on, it instantly made the interior feel modern.I connected my phone via Wireless CarPlay, and it worked right away. Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, and GPS are all smooth and fast. I’ve been using it to stream music, navigate with Google Maps, and take hands-free calls with no lag or dropouts. The backup camera integration is a huge plus too—it made parking way easier, especially in tight spots. I also love that it supports steering wheel controls, which I didn’t want to lose.Pros:Gorgeous 10.1” touchscreen with Android 13 OSWireless CarPlay & Android Auto work flawlesslyFast, modern connectivity (WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS)Backup cam, dual USB, and steering wheel control supportBreaths new life into older Honda modelsCons:Requires some DIY or professional help for clean installationStartup takes a few extra seconds (but worth the wait)If you’ve got a 2006–2008 Pilot and want to bring your ride into the modern age without buying a new car, this is 100% worth it. It’s like driving a whole new vehicle.

While the stereo brings a significant improvement in infotainment, installation may require additional wiring adjustments, especially for steering wheel control retention. Additionally, compatibility with factory amplifiers and specific trims should be checked before purchase.Final Verdict: This affordable, feature-rich head unit modernizes the Honda Pilot’s dashboard with better connectivity, display quality, and hands-free functionality, making it a worthwhile upgrade for those seeking a smarter, more interactive driving experience. 🙂

This unit works really well in my Pilot. I am not an audiophile, but this sounds pretty good to me. My phone connects easily and this has all the CarPlay functions. I already have an aftermarket backup camera, so I can’t comment on the camera. However the screen shows my camera nicely. There is plenty of room behind the unit for all the wiring and connectors used for the install. Good quality and great product.
