High quality machined aluminum and padded 40mm Arca-Swiss plates from Regetek. These are affordable spares for your lenses, and cameras. The plates come with good machined d-ring screws, and tops are padded in silicone rubber for grip. These fit onto my existing ball heads fine. Recommended!

I have a vanguard hunting tripod and a DIY “Bench Mount” that use QD plates you can put on your spotting scope, binocular mount, cameras, and whatever else you might want to put on a tripod. I wish the dovetail was machined into the lens mount, this is the next best option. Less bulk and size.
