Small, powerful, versatile, and integrates with Sidus link. Perfect for a small backlight, kicker light, or adding a pop of color to your shot.I love the built in magnet mount.Rating 4 stars due to battery life. It’s OK but definitely spends more time on the charger than I’d like even though I typically only run it at 40-50% power.

I have owned a couple of these little handheld battery powered video lights through the years for use with both video and photography. This one is pretty great! Yet, it is not for everyone. Here are the pro’s and cons of my experience with it so far.PROS- The Kelvin color temperature setting adjustments are accurate! So great. This means that I can manually set my camera to match the color temperature of the ambient light and then just dial in this light to the number to match.- The diffuser actually diffuses. The plastic detachable diffuser creates soft enough light to be useful. It creates nice and soft skin-tones without any glare (see attached photos of the hand model). Plus the diffuser is magnetically attached with the perfect amount of force.- The on-device display and controls are very easy to navigate. Better than most semi-professional lights. I much prefer this than having to pair the light to an app.- The quality of light is pretty great. Full spectrum and better than most.- Very well built and designed to repair.- Gets very bright for its size! It has a built-in fan which enables this. Good news is that you can put it in quiet mode where it will not use the fan but will sacrifice some lumens.- Has the usual multiple modes where the light will simulate various situations. Great for creative video making.- The hot-sure mount has a great magnetic feature on it. Very easy to take on and off camera or tripod with this little mount.- Convenient USB C charging- Battery last for a very long time when in quiet mode (no fan and less lumens).CONS- A tad too heavy to comfortably carry in my pocket. It would fit in my photography kit but I have similar lights that are smaller and lighter. So, this is relegated to my lighting kit that I do not take everywhere (but I should).- The extra bright mode only works with normal white (noon-day range) color temperature.- The included hot-shoe / magnetic mount is plastic :(. It works fine but is not the quality of the rest of the light.CONCLUSIONThis is one of the few little portable battery powered lights that I actually find usefull. I actually whip it out to use as a fill-in with my normal full-size studio lights. For new and upcoming YouTube stars, you might want this to be your first light to build upon. If you already have a good set-up then get this to fill in and add dimension to your shots. If you are a photographer, there are scenarios where this little light will benefit you over a flash. Especially for small product photography, food photography or headshots. In the end this is better built and brighter than most. The sacrifice here is weight.
