   I have tried many sets of powered monitors and the cheaper ones can be very cheap. These are the most expense ones I remember owning. There are a lot of little efforts that they took to make these sound good, like going with a slot port rather than just a generic round one (not that those are bad or always the cheap thing to do). Build is hefty and the 4 connector wire between the two means that there should be active DSP being applied to maximize what they can do. What can they do? A lot! For only using a 4 inch driver, the amount of bass is pretty impressive. There is no replacement for displacement, but these do a good job. Highs were also not overly bright or harsh. Basically, a nice full range for a small set of monitors. The inputs worked well, same for HDMI arc. The only thing that is a bit off is the fairly generic remote. I guess don’t fix what isn’t broken! Plenty of volume for the size and, overall, a great set of speakers. I am still an advocate of real speakers and amplifiers, but these are very good. These would make killer computer speakers.

   All I can say is WOW. These speakers are as good if not better than my old KEF passives running on a high end 150 w/channel.Plus they have options galore for hooking up to accessory equipment like subwoofer, CD, TV, and phone streaming services.These little speakers have enough bass so that you don’t have to invest in a subwoofer unless you want to rock the house down. The midrange and high end are sonically perfect for my small listening room. I have them on a console with my turntable in between. So far I have not had rumble or skipping problems but plan on speaker isolation pads just in case for my boomy records.Separation is excellent at approximately 4’ and I can’t wait to put on my favorite jazz records to get that sweet throb of the stand up base.I played saxophone in a 60s band and the first tracks I played were Pink Floyd Money and Us and Them.Oh, how I miss playing.Hope this company keeps up the good work.
