I honestly didn’t expect too much from this receiver, but have been pleasantly surprised. I bought this for a pair of Bose Companion 2 computer speakers, which sound awesome but don’t have Bluetooth built in. The receiver pairs effortlessly with my laptop, my tablet, and my phone. Best of all, the stereo sound quality is excellent – – indistinguishable from using a cable to connect the playback device. The price is really reasonable, so I highly recommend this device.

It was very easy to set up and worked fine on the first try. I am using it for a blue tooth connection from my phone to my home sound system primarily for listening to audio books, but I does a great job on music as well. It has no built-in volume control; I set the phone sound output to its maximum value and had to crank up the sound system amplifier quite a bit to get the sound level to what I wanted. I have not compared this unit to other blue tooth receivers, but its output level seems lower than I would have expected; I don’t know, maybe this is typical of low cost blue tooth receivers. In any case, it is not a problem because there was no noise in its output and my amplifier easily provided the additional boost needed.The unit is small and compact, comes with a USB power module and several cables for connection to 1/8 inch TRS plugs or jacks or to RCA jacks. There is no power on/off switch. The small size of the unit makes it easy to pack for travel.So far I am very happy with it.
