I was a bit uncertain as to how these small cube speakers would sound with my heavier two KLH front speakers, combined with a Yamaha (NS-C210BL) center and an Acoustic Audio (CS-PS8-B) subwoofer….all driven by a Yamaha RX-V377 5.1 channel receiver married to a Samsung (BD-HM57C) Smart BD Player and a Samsung 55″ smart TV.I guess I got lucky. After everything was set up, this odd group of components sounded simply great! A marriage made in heaven.Do not expect these small cube speakers to provide the full dynamic range of audio. They are stronger in the mid and upper range with emphasis on the upper range. The other four speakers in my own particular configuration handle the mid and lower range audio signals very well so these cube speakers are very complimentary in the sound environment in which they have been placed. They are mounted on the wall facing the front speakers on the opposite wall. They both come with wall mounting brackets that allow for a limited amount of tilt (left/right – up/down). This allows for better imaging in the rear (satellite speakers) best realized when listening from the ‘sweet spot’ in the room.I certainly cannot say that this would work as well as it did for me in a different acoustic environment with different components and speakers. My five stars are for the sonic results that I have achieved in this specific environment for both music and movies.I have therefore concluded that these Bose Freespace 3 Surface Satellite Speakers produce excellent results when paired with the right system.
