The Canon Rebel T8i works great, almost like it was brand new. As you can see from the photos the body looks great, with no scratches or dings. My only issue is that when I adjust the selection knob from auto to manual shooting mode and vice versa it caught the switch underneath it that controls the power on/off or video mode. The knob no longer sticks but I hope that does not mean a seal is broken underneath. But, so far everything else is great.Awesome upgrade from my Rebel t6.

The T8i I got a few months ago is a great camera. Couple issues with it, first there’s no way I have found yet to take the battery door off so you can put a battery grip on it. That is kind of a big deal. You never really get twice the battery life but it does last longer with a battery grip. The other thing with the battery grip is it makes the camera a bit bigger and easier to hold. Second issue and this one is pretty much with every DSLR you don’t have a live view through the eye piece. You can get a live view on the screen on the back but that’s very awkward and hard to hold steady. Other than that it’s a great camera takes very good pictures not great in low light.I think if I had it to do over I think I might have picked a different camera maybe an RP like I got for my wife she loves and it takes noticeably better photos than the T8i simply because of the thru the eye peice live view.I ended up buying a R8 for myself got a real good price and was able to do some trading so it wasn’t so big an outlay of cash. The R8 is a wonderful camera and beats both the T8i and the RP but the RP isn’t very far behind it.All in all if you can get the R8 on sale just the body no lenses used/renewed at about the same price as the T8i kit with couple lenses , it’s really a hard choice the value is even really. If you have the extra money or you are actually selling some of your work already go with the R8 you will have to put some money in some good glass but you have a real good camera to put those lenses on. If you’re running on a tight budget go with the T8i it is a great choice it really is. Get a monitor for the top you can plug in the side that will make all the difference, get a monitor that is about 1600 or 2000 nit or you won’t be able to see it in the sunlightI hope you enjoy your camera as much as I am mineCharlieC.N.O.
