Ok, it is not metal like the original. Get over it. It is sold for a reasonable price and does the job. If you handle your gear like a troll then this will not hold up. If you treat your Hasselblad like the jewel that it is, then this hood is for you.

Cheap, fits well. My only reservation is that it’s plastic so I’m not sure how much protection it would confer in a fall. That said, I’ve never dropped a camera so maybe that doesn’t matter

A good product that does the job. The fit to my lens is excellent. I haven’t had thehood long enough to know how it will hold up but I treat my equipment carefully andit should last for a long time. The lens mating rang is metal and the hood materialis plastic.
