i have been using the magmod system with my godox ad200 for a long time, and i recently learned about the Godox AK-R1 accessory kit for the Round flash head Godox H200R. I purchased both. and opening the AK-R1 box i first notice the round dome diffuser. and i tried it on the Ad200. with the round head pre diffused glass and the combination of the dome diffuser, i saw that this offers more solid diffusion than the magmod magshpere! really soft light! and then with the honeycomb, i get the same soft light in a more directional spread. the kit is really useful. looking at the color filters, they provide 3 cto gels; full cto, 1/2 cto and 1/4 cto. and they provided two clear gels, so when making your own color gels, you can put it in between the the two clear gels to hold in place without falling off. you can use the bounce card with the dome diffuser to bounce that soft light in any designated direction and still keep that nice soft light. there is also a diffuser plate that gives a fresnel hard directional light when needed. I love this kit, it has too many possibilities. it also has a snoot, and a barn door wing reflector. and all these features are portable with its own carry case. i can only say the only downside is the case could have been bigger to comfortably hold all pieces in any arrangement but its definitely not a deal breaker. . i highly recommend this kit if anyone has a Godox AD200 pocket flash and the H200R round head flash! its a great add on. Now i have the same profoto A1 capabilities, without the high cost for a round head flash solutions!

Love there magnetic design for these flashes. The pouch it comes in is useless and the zipper ripped out within a week of me having it the deflector card cover pops apart a little too easy for my liking but is very functional. Color disks can be stacked and do give a decent color change.

I have been shooting professionally weddings and family portraits for 10 years. I have been using the Godox AD200 with its amazing amount of power(200W), and very quick recovery time. When I saw the AK-R1 accessories I thought they were the perfect compliment to the AD200. I have been using it for just a week and am amazed at all the items it comes with. I use the diffuser dome, or the diffuser dome and the bounce card almost all the time. The dome emits a very even light. Adding the bounce card helps direct the light toward my target subjects. I use the snoot and honeycomb for specialty shots at weddings. While the filter system is limited to the number of filters, they are easy to add for effects. The barn doors are easily adjusted and the doors are tight enough to stay in place. All of this comes in a small carrying case slightly larger than your average smart phone. The biggest feature with this system is that adding light effects to the AD200 with the H200R is made simple because each piece has built into it strong magnets to prevent them from accidently popping off. In the past, I used the Magmod for over a year, and the head was too easily popped off, and I almost lost it on several occasions. In summary, the AK-R1 system is an amazing value., and it is made extremely well. I give it 5 stars!!! To use the AK-R1 system, you must first buy the Godox H200R for the AD200.
