Great light! I ended up buying a second one. Easy to set up and learn. I have used it indoors and outdoors. My only complaint is that the tiny piece that attaches an umbrella, breaks very easily. I just bout a seperate umbrella holder that mount to the stand and not the light.

This is a second light for me. I’ve been impressed with the quality of the build, the ability to wirelessly connect to a number of different camera brands, and it has good longevity off a single charge. This light was purchased as a backup to my existing AD400 Pro or when an additional light is needed.

The media could not be loaded.Godox WITSRO AD400Pro strobe is smaller then the other AD600 models that I have. The AD400 has additional features including interchangeable mounts. A standard slim reflector comes attached with a cover that can act as a snoot. But there is an additional and widely popular Bowens adaptor included. Other adaptor mounts for Profoto, Broncolor or Elinchrom can be purchased separately. There are 3 modes from TTL with high speed sync – good for outdoor off camera use, manual for studio setup or multi stroboscopic flash – for multi exposure of moving action. There are several trigger options from using Goxdox R2 remote triggers to slave operation. With a remote trigger, the light can be uniquely assign to a group and channel# along with other strobes that can be grouped for multi light configuration. The remote trigger can be set to TTL mode and trigger the light which would fire and shut off based on camera response when enough light reaches the sensor for the exposure. This function works for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras. The remote triggers themselves are branded for different camera brands, but will work with any of the Godox light models including the AD400Pro.Physically the light has a pivoting mounting arm mount on light stand or boom spigots. There is also an umbrella holder that can take even 8mm thick umbrellas. This is great for umbrellas and other umbrella framed softboxes of various shapes without the need for any mounting ring at all. This makes for easy studio lighting setup. There is also a 2 stage LED modeling light. The handle at the bottom is to help grab onto to easily position the light. The Bowens adaptor ring is a bit tricky to get off as three is no surface to securely grab onto the ring to pull off. It cannot be left on and placed back into the case as it will not fit. The same for the battery, which must be removed each time to fit the light back into the case. The dense closed cell foam padding is the case provides perfect fit and great protection. A carry strap is included in the zippered compartment.400 watt/sec output is plenty of power for both indoor studio setup with 1 light or multiple and plenty of juice for outdoor. The 390 full power shots is more than the larger 600w model. The batteries are interchangeable.Overall another excellent Godox flash unit in a more compact size for outdoor off camera flash and indoor studio use.HOWEVER, the BP400P battery has major design issue. Periodically the battery will not power the strobe on. It will not charge either. The battery needs to be reset/shorted to allow it to be useable and recharged. I always have to do a battery check and have a small Philips screwdriver to reset/short the gold terminals inside the battery.

You will havlve enough power to pure daylight situations. Enough battery for a few sessions. Easy to manage. It is not a strobe so you will need the extra space to carry it but worth it. Very nice light color and pretty good features for any common situation.

The media could not be loaded. This is an excellent, professional quality, photographer’s flash light. Everything fits perfectly in the protective storagage case. The instructions are easy to follow and the unit is very well made. I can’t find any issues to note. This is a very high quality lighting system.
