I ordered this teleprompter and received it quickly. Glass was broken but I immediately reached out to GVM and they quickly sent a replacement.I have other GVM products and they have always been quick to resolve any issues. This is a well made piece. I loved everything about it except it was just too big for my space. It’s also best used with a full size teleprompter monitor to take full advantage of its size.I have a ipad 12 and still had plenty of margin. If I were in a larger space and shooting talking head vids regularly, I’d have this teleprompter no doubt. Ideally it would be best served by having a professional/sturdy tripod dedicated to it so you could clip the camera in and get rolling. If you have the space then this thing a solid choice.

The media could not be loaded. This was a necessary purchase for me as my wife and I intend to upload more content discussing cameras and accessories. This product was easy to install, the components are well packaged and of high quality. The only issue that some may have is that you need to be aware that this kit does not come with a stand. That would be a separate purchase. Whatever stand you decide to purchase to use this product with, make sure it’s sturdy enough to support the weight of your cera gear and this teleprompter. Other than that, that product is A+.

Ok so this thing is absolutely excellent, and i really want to give it 5 stars, but there are two major problems that you have to resolve for it to work perfectly. The good news is you can solve both pretty easily, but you want to be aware of them:1. it does not come with any kind of mounting hardware or tripod heads, most specifically the longer plate style (which is really what you want with a larger beast like this). And you need TWO of them. The real issue here is that they should have mentioned this in the listing. the two i purchased are these in case you need some: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y4QSL8M?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details2. The second problem is the size of device this can accommodate. Here you have this MASSIVE 18″ reflector glass but the size of the device you can lay down maxes out at about 13″. it’s really irritating because it’s an OBVIOUS flaw and is EASILY fixed because the only reason it’s limited this small is that the adjustable extender arms that hold your device in place only extend out that far. they could easily make these extend MUCH farther and solve this problem instantly. i’ve attached a screen shot with red arrows to show you the extenders i’m talking about.so in my case what i did was to simply unscrew them all together and remove them, super easy. BUT.. this creates a new problem: now your device can fall off and break pretty easily. the solution for this new problem is a case by case basis that depends on your device and you’ll have to figure out how to handle that. in my case attaching velcro strips solved the problem quite easily (really strong velcro of course).TIP: I wanted my teleprompter to be more than just a teleprompter, I wanted it also to show me the guests so I could see their face and look into their eyes while also keeping my eyes directly into the camera. So what I did was I bought this monitor right here and it fits PERFECTLY on this thing!:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6F1TP9R?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1I removed the magnetic cover that comes with it and the back side has this groove that seems like it was literally made for this teleprompter! Now.. if you decide you like this idea you need to keep in mind this is a MONITOR, not a smart device. You would then need to send an HDMI signal from your smart device to this monitor. Which I like even better because now the smart device is literally right next to me on my desk, making it SO easy to manage. But I took this even one step further. I purchased an HDMI switch that has 4 ports… so what I do is I’ve attached several devices to the switch (an iPad, a Skype computer, and one other) which is right near me as well, so I can just manually switch from device to device easily. And then I read an HDMI cable from the switcher to the screen. So now I can switch between tele prompting and talking to people on Skype and be looking right into my camera the whole time. It’s fantastic!
