These Herdio rock speakers are a smart solution if you’re looking to keep your audio setup discreet. I installed two 8″ speakers behind some bushes and tucked them between a pool fence so they face the pool area perfectly yet remain completely out of sight. I buried the wires under mulch and everything looks clean and well-hidden without the need for mounting speakers on poles.As long as you have a way to discreetly power them it looks nice. I have a lamp post with a power outlet near my pool which is located in a mulched bed area so it blends in well and makes installation easier. Bluetooth range works great with no issues at all.You’re not going to blast the block with these because they don’t get very loud and there’s not much bass either. They’re better suited for background music than for parties. That said for some reliable tunes in the summer while you’re by the pool they eliminate the headache of batteries and the hassle of Bluetooth wireless speakers running out of steam.If these last a few pool seasons I’ll be impressed. I do plan to bring them in for the winter just to extend their life. Overall if you’re looking to ditch portable Bluetooth speakers and want a lower profile permanent setup these are a pretty good option.
