I bought this to give my tilt head tripod mount a way to level itself; this is perfect. My combination locks down my camera, no sagging, no nothing; the camera stays put.

I’m using a Benro Travel Angel as my main tripod most of the time, with my more robust Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 reserved for those times when I need more stability and rigidity. Both tripods are a pain to level, adjusting the leg length by trial and error. I have a Sunfoto leveling head that works okay, but it’s big and heavy – too much so to put on the otherwise compact and lightweight Benro. This does the job for me. It’s smaller in diameter and height, and it’s lighter than the Sunfoto, so it adds less weight and an acceptable amount of height to the collapsed tripod. As far as leveling goes, it’s made it a breeze. The amount of adjustability is fairly limited, but if it’s not enough, I only need to get the leg length in the ballpark and fine-tune it with this. It’s well-made and affordable. Leveling your tripod is critical for multi-shot panoramas, or for panning when shooting video. If you do either of those, this is an excellent accessory to add to your kit.

I use these to level PTZ cameras on C-stands. This one was about $50, comes with a very usable case and tools and an easy to see bubble level. There is not a pan movement which is fine for me and my use. Any head you add to it will have pan. The movement is as smooth as the 3 Legged things head. Overall this is a great deal.

Bought this because I didn’t want to have to pack out my full size tripod head to get a little flexibility. I was able to keep it rigid for longer shots or transport, but then also open it up to give me the motion to track and follow subjects. It did great holding a heavy long lens, and allowed me get shots I otherwise would not have attempted.
