Our 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son had a great time with this camera. Once set up they were easily able to maneuver the camera. I like that you can use the SD card option as well. My daughter loved being able to take video of her brother playing the piano. She wants to carry this around with her everywhere she goes.

The media could not be loaded. This camera is more than just a kids’ toy. It’s a versatile tool that sparks creativity and curiosity for people of all ages. With its user-friendly design and instant-printing feature, it’s perfect for young children learning photography basics. But it also appeals to older kids, teens, and adults who enjoy experimenting with photos and the nostalgic charm of instant prints. Whether you’re a child capturing your first memories or an adult documenting everyday moments, this camera is a fun way to explore creativity and storytelling.

My sun is about to turn five, and this camera is the perfect gift for him. The camera itself is a creative tool, and the photos he takes will be a record of his ideas. With it, he can freely capture the world as he sees it – whether it’s a small corner of the home or a beautiful outdoor landscape. It can also be a source of inspiration for his creative endeavors. The atmosphere at home is warm and fun, with printed photos displayed all around. Especially the early morning photos, which capture the natural state of just waking up, are full of the authenticity of life. From the perspective of a five-year-old, these photos are not just images, but also his unique understanding and feelings about the world. The morning sun, sleepy expressions, and even messy hair are all the most beautiful moment in his eyes.Overall, this camera is not just a gift, but also a tool that stimulates creativity and records growth. With it, he can express himself freely and capture the beautiful moments in life. And as the gift giver, you have not only given a practical gift, but also companionship and encouragement, helping him to record his own unique stories with the camera in the days to come.

This retro kids camera is a great educational toy for kids. It uses thermal printing technology to produce instant photos without ink, making it easy and fun for children to see their work right away. The camera comes with a USB-C cable and thermal paper, so parents can easily refill suppliers and keep the fun going. It help kids develop creativity, observation skills, and basic photography techniques through its simple and intuitive design. It’s also a great way for parents to bond with their children by discussing the photos they take together.

I have to hand it to the people who designed this toy. It’s pretty ingenious. They took two commoditized concepts—a digital camera and a thermal label printer—and combined them to be the equivalent of an old Polaroid instant camera. They even mimicked the look and feel of an old-school Polaroid camera.I usually take care of assembling these toys, but in this case I gave it to my 9-year old daughter and let her try to figure it out. Not surprisingly as you see with a lot of these direct-from-manufacturer products, the instructions are pretty poorly written. But she eventually figured out how to take the roll of thermal paper, put it in the camera, feed it, output a digital printout, and tear it off.It took a while and there was some frustration along the way, but she got it. While it certainly wasn’t the intention of the manufacturer to do this, it ended up being a pretty good “accidental” STEM activity as she had to figure out how to make it work despite poor documentation.Set your expectations in advance. You’re not going to get lovely full-size glossy color photos here. You’ll get the equivalent of the size and quality of a supermarket receipt. The resolution is actually surprisingly good, but as with all thermal printouts, they’ll discolor over time, especially if you put them in the sun or near a heat source. But of course, the printing is truly instant—no shaking required. There were also some minor annoyances. For example, the blade used to tear off the paper doesn’t do a very good job of cutting. But it’s fun gadget to have at parties and family gatherings, and you should be able to find replacement thermal printer paper pretty easily and cheaply.
