It converts wired CarPlay and Android Auto to wireless effortlessly, which not only simplifies setup but also provides a more streamlined driving experience.The connection speed is impressively fast; it detects my phone even when it’s tucked away in my pocket or bag. Moreover, its built-in Bluetooth & WiFi modules ensure stable connectivity even under challenging conditions like underground car parks or crowded downtown areas.One aspect that stands out is its compact design – it doesn’t get in the way or obstruct any controls on my dashboard while offering seamless compatibility with both iOS and Android devices.    I go this for my son who bought an older Chevy Volt that had Carplay but required a wired connection.Here is his review:4 starsWorks well right out of the box. There is a slight delay in the audio if you are watching a video. Sometimes I need to connect it to the Bluetooth manually for it to connect CarPlay.

   I have a collection of these kinds of dongles now, always in search of the “best one”. I had switched from iPhone to Android recently, and was looking for a dongle that supported Android Auto. This one does support both, and I am happy to report that the Android Auto support is native, not emulated like some others.Setup was very easy and first you connect to Bluetooth, then from then on the dongle will talk to your phone wirelessly over Wifi. After the initial install the next time in the car it will just automatically connect without having to do anything, so you can leave your phone in your purse or your pocket.Connect time for me with Android Auto has been about 25-30 seconds if the car was off for a long time like overnight. If it is a quick reconnect like after pumping gas, it connects in just a few seconds.I tested audio and there is no noticeable lag. Phone calls are working great, as is texting. All of my car controls are working great too. So far so good! And I really like that this one plugs straight into the USB instead of having a short cord that connects into a small box like some others. Plus, they provide a USB-A to C adapter in the box so you can connect either way, whichever your car supports. Nice!One thing to note is I sometimes need to move my phone closer to get it to initially connect. After that it can go back in my pocket.

   I have LOVED having this in my car!! This is wildly more reliable than all of the cords I have tried using for Android Auto in the past.The initial setup was a little rocky. It took around 10 minutes of messing around with trying to get it to connect to my Google Pixel 9 Fold because the dongle wanted to default to Apple Carplay. However, it seemed like once the dongle had finished setting up Android Auto on its own, I was able to connect to Bluetooth and use it.This thing connects FAST. Like, I turn on my car and it’s already connected fast. It’s awesome! Since the initial setup, I have had no problem with connection. It’s never lost connection, I can use my phone while it’s connected with no issues (while parked or passenger, of course), and there isn’t a delay between my phone and the radio.I am super happily surprised at how great this has been and would very much recommend it to anyone who is annoyed with a physical connection constantly cutting out.

   Very easy set-up and connects every time in our Lexus. I like that you need to select Android Auto on the car’s menu to bring the navigation up only if you want to use it. Otherwise it connects and will auto-play your music.
