FIRST IMPRESSIONSWowza! I wish I knew about this sooner before purchasing extra small tripods. The Manfrotto 003MF is small enough to fit in your pocket. the high quality is expected with manfrotto products. I trust my hundreds of dollars worth camera flashes with this base. Of course you need to purchase the adjustable pole to use as a background light stand. Although, the uses of this stand are endless.AFTER FIRST USEWell made. I was able to pack the manfrotto 003MF and the manfrotto magic arm in my small camera bag. The product is easy to collapse and expand. I don’t recommend using this base to support a camera attached to the magic arm but a flash or small studio strobe works well.PROS-Small form factor-Easy to store-Easy collapse and expansion-Solid build qualityCONS-NoneCONCLUSIONIf you are a photographer that uses lighting on location, then the Manfrotto 003MF is a must have in your bag. You’ll thank me when you are in situation where you need a low profile light stand on location.
