The media could not be loaded.I’m pretty satisfied with this little bag. At first, I was put off by its “petite” sort of appearance. It’s much shorter than a regular backpack and kind of squat. But, it really works well at storing all the individual components of my Canon EOS R10 and my various lenses in a safe way with lots of extra padding to ensure stability and resist damage. The camera bag inside of a camera bag concept is cool too. It comes with a complete camera sized insert that you place in the middle of the bag for your camera body and maybe your primary lens and I’ve even managed to fit my matte box in as well!

The Tarion Everyday Canvas Camera Backpack is a fun-looking bag that appears to be well constructed for handling the wear and tear of daily use. I’d expect this bag to hold up nicely for years. The shoulder straps have plenty of adjustment capability, and I find the bag comfortable to carry.The camera insert is quite compact. But it is roomy enough to hold my Fujifilm X-T30 with an attached grip and the 18-55mm kit lens, with room left over for one or two additional small lenses. The insert, which fills most of the main bag compartment, seals up with a zipper around the top, has a water-resistant outer lining and a soft fabric lining to protect its contents. It also comes with padded dividers that look like what you’d find in most any camera bag. I find the dividers pretty much useless, however. There is no way to secure them in place as neither they nor the insert walls come with hook-and-loop fasteners. So, there is no actual compartmentalization or protection. This is a serious omission and my biggest complaint. My solution, though not a convenient one, is to protect the small lenses in individual foam rubber or cloth wraps.The backpack bag is arguably large enough to store supplies for a day hike. I can see carrying a light lunch and a snack or two along with a little camera gear.If you want to use it principally as a camera bag, the pockets on each side provide some additional space for a couple of small items, such as a couple of very small lenses, or maybe some filters. With my crop-frame mirrorless camera I can get a lens into each side pocket. Alternatively, a Godox TT350 speedlight will fit perfectly in either side pocket. Besides not having useful dividers in the camera insert, there is the issue of accessing the camera while hiking. Grabbing a camera from the insert involves taking the bag off your back, opening a flap at the top and then loosening the drawstring closure to get to the camera insert. Then you need to either remove the insert and open the zipper around its top, or just unzip it while the insert is in the bag. My guess is that not many photographers will want to carry their camera in the insert while hiking.This is a great-looking little backpack, that most will find they can carry with no strain. For my photography walks, however, it lacks the convenience I have come to expect from using other camera bags. Where I might use it is when I need a small photography kit to shoot a destination or event, but do not need gear access while getting there or returning. Weighing the pluses and minuses I have listed, I would give the Tarion bag 4 stars, as I really like this thing, despite the few frustrations.
