   Right away, I have to say – this is some awesome packaging for what should be a simple product. It could just be a bunch of LEDs on a little box with a battery and some buttons, but they took it above and beyond here. I’m in love with the lime green and transparent purple housing, the menu is simple but easy to navigate and understand, and the magnets are STRONG.Overall, the device looks solid, feels solid, and works well. When you kick up the settings, this light absolutely fills the room. You actually need to be careful, because the light output here is like holding a ceiling bulb or two in your hand. It puts out a noticeable amount of heat and at its maximum, it can hurt your eyes.I think if I could nuke a half-point, I would say that the first image shown suggests a feature this light does not have. As far as I can tell, every dot of light underneath the diffuser is an RGB LED with an additional bluish white and yellowish white LED to accompany it, similar to dual LED flash on smartphone cameras. It’s a great quality light, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to create a gradient of color across the surface for more varied effects. The whole panel lights up the same color, on every LED. I don’t think it affects the intended use cases and functionality of the product much, but I personally don’t like when pictures show a product in a state it can’t possibly achieve in action.Another nitpick I’d give is also, I think almost half of the ‘scenes’ offered don’t look like what they were going for. Ones like fireworks just seem too simple to me. If you compared the way a scene lit up by a real fireworks show would look, I don’t think any of them nail that effect. Going back to my previous complaint, I think effects like the candlelight and campfire would have been greatly improved if the light could ‘move’ across the surface and produce different colors in different areas to better mimic a real fire. But even without that, they don’t exactly nail the flickering you’d expect from either. Overall the scenes seem rather hit or miss to me. It doesn’t seem like you can do a whole lot to ‘program’ better scenes, even just subtle color shifting or brightness changes. Honestly, they seem to be overpromising and underdelivering on this being a device that can do more than just static light. I would just stick to that part if you are thinking about buying one.Overall, the core of what this gadget is meant to do is fill out the light in your space, or splash in some color. I could see it being really easy to change the lighting in your scenes by using the app or a remote alongside multiple units, and these are built well to accommodate that kind of quick setup and adjustment. But I wouldn’t expect to be able to get really in the weeds with it. If you want to simulate a broken electric panel erupting in sparks off-screen or other special effects-y things like that, I’m not sure you can make it convincing.

   I have other products from Viltrox and they are one of my favorite makers of camera gear. When I saw this light I was a little hesitant to get it mainly from an aesthetic point of view. I typically like their metal framing and some would say “retro” look. However, this light is growing on me. Actually, I’ve been carrying it in my camera bag and using it daily for the past week. I’ve decided that it doesn’t matter about the exterior purple and green and more about what the light can do.The light is easy to use and the menus are intuitive. There are so many options. I love that this has RGB colors and they are bright for such a small light. There are also “scene” lights for videography (i.e. SOS, fireworks, television, paparazzi, etc.) which add value to scenes. The color temperature settings are wonderful, as well. I’ve used neutral daylight several times and the lighting is great and natural looking.The light is made well and feels solid. The outside is plastic, so I wouldn’t advise dropping it, but for normal regular use, it seems durable. The battery charges relatively quickly and I used the light twice now for over one hour each time without having any overheating, flicker, or shut down issues.The only negative aspect I found was the magnet strength. It is good if you can stick the light on a flat piece of metal. However, if you can’t cover the entire magnets (for example, if you are trying to attach it to a pole or textured metal), it will slip or not hold. For me, it’s not a big deal as I typically use light stands and that is how I’ve been using the light. You also get a cold shoe mount if you need to use on a camera or rig.I am very happy with the light. For such a small item that can easily be slipped into a camera bag, it is serving me big. Five stars.

   I absolutely LOVE everything about this light! It is bright, it is bold, and it is just cool to look at! It lights up the entire room and it adds something special to my studio and YT videos! It stays charged for a long time which is a huge plus when I am batch recording videos. It has every color, hue, and effect you could possibly want or need. The light output is strong and bold. There are many settings so if you are going for a soft and diffused look then you can achieve that too. However, if you are like me and want bright, bold colors in your scene then this is the perfect light for that, and trust me I have many RGB and panel lights big and small. This one packs the most punch! It is so versatile. You can put it on a tripod and it is also magnetic. It’s easy to use. I didn’t need to read true instructions since it’s pretty intuitive to use and changing the settings is easy to figure out. It’s small enough to carry in a pocket or small purse or camera bag and it seems sturdy enough to handle any kind of adventure! I take very good care of this light but if I did sling my bag around I am sure it would hold up just fine!Words cannot explain how much I love this light and how much I have enjoyed using it for my video projects. It is definitely my favorite light!I also love the aesthetics. Most of my small panel lights are plain looking and so boring to look at and use but this one has style and pizazz! Seeing the purple and green design makes me happy and excited to use it!If you are trying to decide if you want this light then just get it! If it’s a toss up between this light and another light, get this one! Trust me you won’t regret it! This is a great value for the money and I k ow you will just as happy with this light as I am!

   The media could not be loaded.Excellent light. Of course, I would like it to be more powerful – but the more powerful one costs twice as much. I bought this light to illuminate the background in my video blog. I am very pleased.
