The ifootage round base is a very handy stand.. but not necessarily in the way, you would think. The stand is a decent monopod, but it has a tendency to shake when you move the camera. The shake is pretty significant and must be accounted for while filming…. the answer… use a powered gimbal. As a gimbal stand/extension, it works great. It allows you to run-and-gun with your gimbal but then has the ability to set the gimbal down and use it as tripod. This is a very handy use of the Ifootage base!Notes– The stand is lightweight and easy to use- As mentioned it does shake when you move the camera.- Attaches easily to my DJI Gimbal- Lightweight… maybe a little too light… if it was a bit heavier it might a little more sturdy.Final Verdict – a monopod base… I’d give it 2 1/2 stars due to the unsteadiness of the base… however, when combined with a DJI Gimbal I’ll give it 5 stars.

I use mine to mount some light tubes for practicals in my studio. It works great. Throw in a universal clip on top and you can easily swap various products on the pole itself. I also have the smaller mount that I use for my teleprompter. It also works great. My only complaint with these mounts (and a minor one at that) is that you really need to wrench down the pole to the base to keep the pole from swiveling on its threads. It’s minor, but I almost feel like some kind of lockable latch would be great to prevent this from happening.

Works like a charm as a tabletop camera mount for streaming/online content creation. But be sure to secure the bottom with a sandbag or something of equivalent weight to keep it from getting too top heavy.

I put a big 4/3 camera and teleprompter on this. I was worried that it would tip or feel unstable, but not at all. I did buy the Neewer tripod ball and I have an amazing simple to use YouTube filming set up. Highly recommend.
