   One of the most kinetic and over the top action comedies out there. Sure, it is unbelievable much in the same way Renny Harlin’s Die Hard 2 was, but this one has a lot going on and the good vibes are tremendous. It’s a superior action pic in many ways if a tad dated here and there. I think Gina Davis did a mostly ballsy and supreme job in her dual role and Jackson does his thing perfectly throughout.Mostly, Jackson’s lines are pure gold in this one and he rolls off the one liners with aplomb. Reminds me of The Last Boy Scout in many ways with its clever dialogue, though, some of it can get a little janky. Shane Black wrote both of them as well the first two Lethal Weapon films. You can tell he works on his the screenplay quite a bit for the actors personally, but it’s also hard to pull off some of the stuff in a realistic way.A few of the gunfights are a little underwhelming. Some of the bad guys are a little overdramatic and don’t shoot as well as you might think. Maybe some of it is a little corny, though, it’s always in good fun. This isn’t a fully realistic action film and it never tries to be. It could stand for a tad more realism here and there but nothing is perfect. And let’s be honest: if this film took itself too seriously it would end up in the trash heap because the comedy wouldn’t work as it does. The jokes are still lively if you are into some dirty humor and the action sequences are pretty amazing still today. The duo here have a lot of great synergy together, which in the end makes any flaws disappear.Overall, this is how action-comedies should be made. We rarely get anything even remotely resembling these fun pictures anymore. And if we do they have terrible scripting and much worse acting. I think people like this film because well it’s a damn good experience. Get some popcorn out and enjoy the ride. The Bluray retains its grain structure and has a pretty decent definition. Totally recommended.

   Still very entertaining after these years. Good screen chemistry between Samuel and Geena Davis. Picture quality is good. Arrow video did a good job.

   We really enjoyed this one and highly recommend it? Balanced auto and video. Both Jackson and Davis give therie all and you can tell. Both said this was their favorite film they ever done.
