   The media could not be loaded.Received the item yesterday. It ships with a battery and battery charger. Very simple device to operate with a nice set of controls. Used it to capture some stills which worked fine although not as soft as my studio strobes with softbox modifiers but not an issue for me because I purchased this light and the YN300Air for video production. Produced my first video using this as the key light and the YN300Air as the fill light. Very pleased with the quality of the light for video and ease of use. Here is a video I shot a couple hours after receiving both lights. I think the key light setting I used could have been reduced but heck I am in learning mode for video.

   The light seems to be very good, however, after a couple times of very short use, the remote does not work. I have tried it with new batteries in the transmitter and with the battery in the light as well as the light being connected to external source. I would be happy if the Yongnuo would send a replacement but I have little confidence they will do that. I have the previous model of the YN-300 with the same problem of the remote not working. I emailed them and asked if I could purchase a new remote being that it was out of warranty but have never heard from them. Unfortunately, I will be returning this to Amazon and look for a different light.UPDATE:Cockpit trouble, the channel had gotten changed and I did not catch it right away. Just hope it lasts.

   Battery may appear as if it doesn’t fit because the insert selection is larger than the battery. Don’t freak out it does fit it just a weird design. Charge before using and the nob on the back is pushable for easy accessibility. I was going to pay $400 for something similar but this is a good start. Literally use this light to record my YouTube and instagram pics/videos @ashleynoswiper definitely a must have if your behind the lens.Btw tripod isn’t include but any tripod can attach to the light.

   This little thing lights up a room, and i have no lighting in my area. but the battery dies even if you have it turned off so you have to take the battery out, with the possibility of losing/missplacing the battery. it does not make the area hot.
